For my BA Fashion Design graduation project at Universidad Veritas, Costa Rica, in 2019, I launched the brand's first retail collection, consisting of 10 thoughtfully designed outfits. Each piece was crafted from 100% natural fiber fabrics and upcycled denim sourced from local thrift stores, reflecting a commitment to sustainability and reducing waste. The collection aimed to raise awareness about the harmful impact of microplastics, particularly those shed by polyester fabrics, on our oceans. By integrating these concerns into a street-style conscious collection, I sought to merge eco-friendly practices with contemporary fashion, offering stylish and environmentally responsible clothing for the modern urbanite.
